SANDIP Foundation signed an agreement with BARC, Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India for collaborative R & D Activities .Sandip Foundation’s SITRC signed the agreement with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Department of Atomic Energy, Govt of India for collaborative R & D projects and improvising the Techno Rural Entrepreneurship!
During the MoU signing, from Sandip Foundation Hon’ble Chairman Dr. Sandip Jha, Principal Dr. S. T. Gandhe, Dean-Academics Dr. P. R. Baviskar and Convener-IEDC Er. N. L. Kulkarni visited BARC campus at Mumbai and interacted with Hon. Dr Ratan Kumar Sinha, Ex- Chairman Atomic Energy Commission, DAE Homi Bhabha Chair, Smita S. Mule – Principal AKRUTI Coordinator and other dignitaries were present.
Department of Atomic Energy has launched DAE-Societal Initiative for utilization of Non-Power Applications (NPAs) and Spin-off technologies in the area of water, agriculture, food processing and Agri-land improvement through urban and rural waste management. Within this frame work, the structured program called “AKRUTI-KRUTIK-FORCE” has been formulated by BARC, Trombay, Mumbai. Sandip Foundation’s SITRC imitative entitled “Rural Empowerment and Vamping of Agricultural as well as Tribal Innovations (REVATI)” committed to cater the society for overall RURBAN development.
With this collaboration Sandip Foundation’s SITRC will empower the rural youth to get educated with BARC’s technologies such as:

  • Soil Organic Carbon Detection & Testing Kit (SOCDTK)
  • Foldable Solar Dryer
  • Domestic Water Purifier
  • Nanocomposite Ultrafiltration Membrane Device For Domestic Drinking Water W.R.T Arsenic, Iron and Microbial Contaminations
  • Mass multiplication medium of Biofungicide Trichoderma spp.
  • Micro fine Neem Biopesticide
