Amrut Kalash Pujan under Meri Mati Mera Desh

The NSS unit of SITRC organized Amrut Kalash Pujan on 12th October, 2023. Meri Mati Mera Desh envisions a unified celebration of India’s soil and valor, commemorating the Nation’s journey of freedom and progress. By connecting with the land and honoring our heroes, this program will instill a sense of National pride and inspire future generations to protect India’s cherished heritage.

“Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta” campaign under Swachhata Hi Sewa 2023

Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) campaign is being celebrated from 15th September to 2nd October 2023 under the joint aegis of DDWS & MoHUA for undertaking Shramdaan activities aiming to generate Jan Andolan through community participation, to provide impetus on implementation of SBM; to disseminate the importance of a Samporrna Swacch Village; to reinforce the concept of Sanitation as everyone’s business and as prelude for the Swacch Bharat Diwas (2nd October) with nationwide participation. With this theme, students and staff of Sandip Institute of Technology and Research Centre participated in the event and spread the message of cleanliness among students.

Blood Donation Camp

National Service Scheme (NSS) of SITRC organized a Blood Donation Camp on 15th September, 2023 on occasion of Engineer’s Day. The primary objective of this camp is to collect voluntary blood donations to support local hospitals and save lives. Principal of SITRC Dr. M. M. Patil inaugurated the event and felicitated the representative from Navjeevan Blood Bank. Deans of the institute along with the HOD, staff members were present for the inauguration.

Women’s Day Activity

Sandip Institute of Technology and Research Centre, Nashik celebrated International Women’s Day in association with the Women’s in Engineering (WIE) and the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) on 8th March, 2023. Dr. G. M. Phade, Professor and Head of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Reshma Nimse was invited as guest Speaker. She gave session on gender sensitization and women’s empowerment. As a Social worker, she also discussed on gender equality and women empowerment scheme viz. Ujjawala, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Sakhi News and Nari Shakti Puraskar etc.

Donation Drive at Premdan

Donation drives are an excellent way to show appreciation and support for charity. With this initiative, encouraging students of Computer Engineering department of SITRC organized Donation Drive at PremDan (Missionary of Charity St. Mother Theresa) on 3rd March, 2023. The activity is coordinated by Prof Sunil Kale. The aim of this activity was to imbibe students with equality of humbleness and kindness built an attitude of lending a hand. The members of the old age home were also happy and they also enjoyed with students.

Donation to students of National Association of Blind

Department of Mechanical Engineering and Automation Robotics Engineering Department organized social activity at National Association for the Blind Unit Satpur, Nashik on 2nd March, 2023. Engineering Students of Sandip Institute of Technology and Research Centre interacted with the blind students and also seen the teaching methodologies of blind students. Also, students donated foods, groceries to blind students at NAB unit.

Donation at Aadhar Ashram (Orphanage)

On 1st March 2023, a CSR activity was conducted at Aadhar Ashram, an orphanage located in the outskirts of the city. The activity was aimed at donating educational supplies to the children at the orphanage. The activity was carried out by a MBA I year student of SITRC. The Students then distributed the educational supplies to 120 children living in the orphanage ranging from age 0 to 12 years old, which included notebooks, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and sketch pens etc

 

NSS Special Camp

The SITRC NSS Special camp was held at Jategaon, Dist. Nashik from 1st to 7th February 2023. Various social activities were conducted in this 7-day camp. In it, various tests like cancer, AIDS, eye disease were conducted in the health camp organized by the school camp, mainly cleanliness camp, de-addiction, etc. More than 100 citizens participated in these activities. Also, the students were given various government scheme educations, health checkup camp, superstition removal programs and various topic wise lectures. The villagers were informed in this regard. Girls created awareness among women about the care to be taken in the context of menstruation.

Road Safety Week Awareness Activity

The 31st Road Safety Week was organized by authorities, NGOs, and other concerned bodies in Nashik on 17th January, 2023 which aimed to raise awareness about road safety measures and promote responsible behavior among motorists, pedestrians, and all road users. Our college students involved in this event who educate people about traffic rules, the importance of following them, and the consequences of reckless driving.

Eye Check-up Camp

NSS unit of Sandip Institute of Technology and Research Centre, Nashik and Shriram Eye Clinic, Nashik jointly organized Free Eye Checkup camp at the campus on 24th September, 2022 to celebrate NSS Day. Principal of institute Prof. (Dr.) M. M. Patil and all Head of Departments were present for the inauguration. The NSS program officer Prof. S. D. Katkade and NSS volunteer were coordinated the event.

Tree Plantation Activity under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of Independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. Under this initiative, the Tree Plantation activity is conducted on 14th July, 2022. The objective of this activity is to increase the resilience of ecosystems and help to minimize climate change effects.

Fit India Movement

NSS unit of SITRC has organized Fit India Movement as per the circular NSS/2020-2126 through online mode. Prof. S. D. Katkade has shown presentation to students regarding Fit India Movement with theme Freedom from Lethargy to Live Healthy Life on 26th August, 2020.

Food Distribution Activity during COVID pandemic period

With respect to COVID 19 pandemic, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India in close collaboration with State Governments has taken various initiatives. Close consultation and guidance of the State as well as District authorities is being maintained to ensure that lock down conditions are not violated and norms of social distancing are scrupulously followed to contain the spread of the disease. Our institute volunteers provided shelter and food to needy peoples and street animals in the month of July 2020.

Navratri Festival: Dandiya Event

Sandip Institute of Technology and Research Centre organized Navratri Festival Dandiya Raas on 5th October, 2019 at Shraddha Lawns, Gangapur road, Hanumanwadi Link road, Nashik. Students and staff were participated in various competition held in Dandiya Ras.

Ganesh Idol Collection Activity

The Lord Ganapati is worshiped by Indians. In Maharashtra Ganesh Festival is more popular. As a part of the final ritual of Ganesh Chaturthy celebrations the clay and plaster of Paris idols of Ganesha along with flowers, banana leaves, Coconuts etc. referred as ‘Nirmalaya’ are immersed in the water body. The Ganesh Idol collection Program was organized by National Service Scheme (NSS) in association with Nasik Municipal Corporation on 23rd September 2018 at Godavari River, Anandvalli in Nasik. More than 1000 Ganesh idols were donated by people for re-immersion. NSS volunteers were appreciated by ACP Mr. Dipak Girhe for noble cause work. Dean Admin Prof. Dr. M. M. Patil, HOD of ESH Dr. S. N. Patil visited and appreciated the work of students.

Cleanliness Pledge Activity

On the occasion of NSS Day, 24th September 2018, NSS Unit of Sandip Institute of Technology and Research Centre, Nashik organized awareness session of Cleanliness and also the Pledge of Cleanliness was given to the students by Prof. Santosh Katkade. The awareness session aim to educate and motivate individuals or communities to maintain a clean and hygienic environment. These sessions can cover various aspects, such as personal hygiene, waste management, sanitation practices, and the importance of a clean environment for overall health and well-being.
