Disable friendly Environment

Disable friendly Environment

There is a recognized need for creating special arrangements in the environment to facilitate the mobility and independent functioning of differently-abled individuals. Colleges are required to comply with the provisions of the Persons with Disabilities Act 1995 and ensure that their campuses are accessible to differently-abled individuals. This includes making existing structures and future construction projects disabled-friendly. The institutes should establish dedicated facilities like ramps, handrails, and accessible toilets, while also implementing other necessary modifications to accommodate the unique requirements of differently-abled individuals. Differently-abled individuals rely on specialized aids and appliances to support their daily activities and functioning.

The Institute is fully dedicated to ensuring that differently-abled individuals have equal access to education and exposure to diverse perspectives that can inspire them. With well-defined plans and strategies, the SITRC actively promotes equal rights and educational opportunities for those with different abilities. The institute’s policy guarantees inclusive access to a wide range of agendas, services, events, and activities specifically designed for differently-abled students. The ultimate goal is to motivate and empower these students to achieve remarkable academic and personal accomplishments within an inclusive environment. The institute strongly emphasizes the holistic growth of differently-abled students by fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that nurtures their overall development.

Our campus is equipped with various features to ensure accessibility and support for students with disabilities. These facilities include:

  • Wheelchair: Wheelchair is available in the institute for easy movement.
  • Wheelchair Accessibility: All buildings and classrooms are wheelchair accessible with ramps available for easy movement.
  • Accessible Restrooms: We have designated accessible restrooms equipped with grab bars to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges.
  • We strive to create an inclusive environment where all students can thrive academically and personally, regardless of their abilities
