About the Central Library

The Central Library of Sandip Institute of Technology and Research Centre , Nashik was established in 2008 with the objective of supporting the academic, teaching, learning, and research activities of the institute. The library serves as the knowledge hub of the campus by providing access to quality print and electronic information resources for students, faculty members, researchers, and staff.

The Central Library is housed in a separate, dedicated library building, providing a peaceful and academic atmosphere for study and research. The library building covers an area of 705 square metres and features a well-equipped reading room with a seating capacity of 180 students, offering a comfortable and conducive environment for learning.

The library has a rich collection of more than 32,000 books, including textbooks, reference books, and other academic resources across various disciplines. It also subscribes to 124 national and international print journals, periodicals, and magazines, ensuring access to the latest scholarly information.

The library is fully automated using the Koha Integrated Library Management System and provides users with access to its collection through the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). With modern facilities, digital resources, and user-centric services, the Central Library is committed to supporting academic excellence, research, innovation, and lifelong learning.

Objectives

  • To support the educational and research programs of the institute by providing physical and online access to information.
  • To serve as a resource centre by developing a comprehensive collection of books, journals, and other academic resources for students and faculty.
  • To procure knowledge resources in the form of books and information and make them accessible to all beneficiaries, including students and faculty members, at all times.
