The activities conducted under a women’s grievance cell are diverse and aimed at addressing various issues, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for women. Here are some common activities typically carried out by such a cell:
On the vibrant occasion of International Women’s Day, all the ladies faculty and staff of SITRC came together to celebrate the invaluable contributions, accomplishments, and resilience of women across the globe. The event, was a jubilant acknowledgment of the progress made and the path ahead for gender equality and women’s empowerment which is celebrated every year with full enthusiasm.

SITRC under Women’s Grievance Cell has organized health education program on “Nutrition and Hemoglobin Estimation”. The guest speaker Mrs Sangita Patki, addressed the girls students about the importance of nutrition in health. She aware about the balanced diet for good health. She said that food provides our bodies with the energy, protein, essential fats, vitamins and minerals to live, grow and function properly. Good nutrition is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle. Combined with physical activity, your diet can help you to reach and maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk of chronic diseases (like heart disease and cancer), and promote your overall health. The hemoglobin test is used to check for anemia, usually along with a hematocrit or as part of a complete blood count (CBC)for the girls student. Also SITRC has arranged guest lecture on “Maazi…Me…” under Women’s Grievance cell to motivate girls and ladies staff to identify their skills and how to fight against worst situation.

SITRC under Women’s grievance cell hosted a thought-provoking event dedicated to promoting gender sensitization and fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect. Expert talk on “Gender Sensitization with Introduction to Laws and Regulations Regarding Women” was arranged which aimed to raise awareness, challenge stereotypes, and initiate meaningful discussions on gender equality and empowerment.

SITRC under Women Grievance Cell has organized various workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns such as “Blessed to Bleed“, “Depression“, “Nutrition & Hemoglobin Estimation“, “Obesity“, “Infertility & Women Health“, “Psychological Health” etc. which focused on educating individuals about gender sensitization, women’s rights, and preventing harassment. These programs aimed to foster a culture of respect and equality.
